ChatGPT Made My Dinner 2026.03.15
Been trying to use up what meal ingredients I have, so I told ChatGPT the main ingredients I needed to use up (more perishable) and the kind of meal vibe I was going for, as well as how much time I had and other "staples", or should I say related ingredients, I had on hand.
I had to tweak the plans by conversing back and forth with ChatGPT, but alas 20-30 minutes later (both active and inactive time) I arrived at not only a recipe, but a logically sequenced game plan to minimize the time.
Of course, I still didn't follow the "game plan" to the tee. I never do, but you can even ask it (AI, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to take things into consideration such as...
...kitchen tools, small/large appliances, kitchen size, roommates/family members, physical limitations, time, effort, serving customizations, ingredients to avoid, etc. when creating "use-it-up" aka "kitchen sink" recipes, or simply when you want to switch things up, need to substitute an ingredient and more.
Dinner experiment turned out pretty great tonight: baked/broiled Sweet Hungarian Paprika and Garam Masala chicken legs with a roasted veggie bowl (fennel, carrots, onions, chickpeas, and cannellini beans) over brown rice and spinach, finished with a pesto drizzle and shaved parmesan.
